Yakov Smirnoff enjoys bringing laughter and happiness to others and is premiering his new show in Branson, featuring special guest comedian/ventriloquist, Jim Barber. “You’ll Laugh your YAK-OFF” and everyone will leave with the gift of love and laughter.

Yakov Smirnoff is a legend in American comedy. After escaping from Ukraine in 1977, which was a part of the Soviet Union at the time, he came to the United States with nothing but a dream. Even though he didn’t speak English, he ended up in Hollywood at The Comedy Store, where the owner, Mitzi Shore, took him under her wing.

Working there, alongside comedians like Robin Williams, Richard Pryor, Billy Crystal, David Letterman and so many more, Yakov became a star as well. He was featured on “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson, was a regular on Night Court and even had his own show named after his popular catchphrase, “What A Country!”

Yakov is performing at his own newly renovated 2,000 seat theater in Branson, Missouri, where he delights audiences with his unique brand of comedy. With the heart of dreamer, Yakov Smirnoff has made the impossible possible and continues to inspire others with his love for America.
