Staria Marie Hawkins Simpson, 62, of Midway, Arkansas, passed away on June 15, 2025, at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Star was born on January 7, 1963, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Chester Columbus Hawkins and Bonnie Marie Ring Hawkins.
She married Mike Wayne Simpson on August 16, 1980, and together they shared nearly 45 years of marriage. Star enjoyed bird watching, especially hummingbirds, working puzzles and hanging out with her husband Mike.
She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Hawkins of Batesville; her husband, Mike Simpson of Midway; two sons: Spencer Scott Simpson and Matthew Wayne Simpson, daughter in law Rachel Simpson and granddaughter Berkley Simpson her sister, Janet Ann Hawkins Perkey and husband Vondale Perkey, niece Miranda Perkey Scott of Paducah, Kentucky and her son Griffin Scott.
Star will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
