Ruby Florine Atwood, age 88, passed away on December 17, 2024. She entered this life September 20, 1936, the daughter of Clifford and Florence (___) Meredith in Wellington, Kansas. Ruby was joined in marriage to Arthur Atwood.
Being gifted with numbers, Ruby was a bookkeeper for many years; eventually, Arthur and she owned an automotive inventory business. In the early 1990s, they retired to the Ozarks and owned an antique mall in Rockaway Beach for a time. Ruby enjoyed solving puzzles, reading romance books, and watching Hallmark movies. Above all else, she loved her family dearly and treasured being able to spend time with them. The memories and moments created over her wonderful lifetime will be cherished by all who knew her.
Ruby is survived by her husband of over thirty years, Arthur Atwood of Forsyth, Missouri; sons: Michael McGuire of Forsyth, Missouri, and Terry McGuire and wife, Pam of Hemet, California; and grandson, Michael Ray Hall-McGuire and wife, Sarah.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn Wherry; and daughter, Sherrie McGuire.
