Nancy Jean Chaperon Klein, age 88, passed away August 21, 2025.

Nancy Jean Chaperon Klein, age 88, of Branson, Missouri, passed away August 21, 2025, with family by her side. She was born in Adams, Massachusetts, on March 12, 1937, to Mabel Saulnier and Wilfred Chaperon. Nancy attended Adams Schools and Bliss Business College. On June 29, 1973, she was joined in marriage to Alan Klein. 

She worked in the family business, Auto Replacement, until urban renewal forced its closure in the mid-50s. Nancy worked at Peebles Jewelry store, owned her own business Act 11 Consignment Shop until closing in late 80s, as well as others jobs through the 70s and 80s. Nancy traveled with her father and stepmother, husband and kids all over the country through the 80s in their RVs After her husband retired in 1989, they traveled full-time in their RV until moving to Branson in 1994. Nancy worked for Westgate Resorts for close to 15 years before retiring at 80 years old.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Adams and Branson. Nancy volunteered at the Awana Club and Elevate Branson for many years. 
Nancy is preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly in 1968 and her husband, Alan Klein in 2015. She leaves behind two sons: Kevin and Michael Mooney of Branson, Missouri; stepson, John and wife, Nancy of Portland, Maine; three grandchildren: Nicholas Mooney and wife, Erika, Rebekah (Mooney) Kaaihue and husband, Makai; and Rhyan Mooney; four great-grandchildren: Mateo, Kaia, Julian, and Koa, all of Branson, Missouri; and brother, Robert Chaperon.

There will be a memorial service held 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 30, 2025, at Cremations of the Ozarks, 115 Industrial Park Drive, Hollister, Missouri, with Jeff Wilcox officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to Elevate Branson, http://www.elevatebranson.org/donate. Service and Cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
