Kevin Allen Haack, 66, of Branson, Missouri, passed away August 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, hard work, and American pride.
Born and raised in Iowa, Kevin graduated from North Scott High School in 1977 and immediately joined the U.S. Army. He served from June 17, 1977, to June 12, 1980, spending much of his time stationed in Germany. His years in the service shaped his strong work ethic and sense of loyalty, qualities that carried through the rest of his life.Kevin worked in the trucking industry for most of his career, including nearly two decades as a Freight Operations Manager with Conway Freight/XPO from 1998 to 2017. In 2018, he founded JK Reliable Transportation in Branson, combining his expertise with his entrepreneurial spirit.
In 1997, Kevin married Jacqueline (Teller) Haack, and the two shared 26 wonderful years together before her passing in 2023.
Kevin had a quick wit and a love for life’s simple pleasures. Friends and family could always count on him for a quick joke or a funny story, and for reasons that made perfect sense only to him, he took special pride in mowing his lawn. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, enjoyed watching the WNBA, and spent many happy days boating. He loved all kinds of racing—from old-timer stock cars to NASCAR, drag racing, and even a 1944 flathead Ford Coup. His taste in music ran from Metallica to Barry Manilow, and he never minded surprising people with what was on his playlist.
Kevin is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Mike) Perry and Alexa (Aric) Robinson, both of LeClaire, Iowa; his stepdaughter, Sarah (Jake) McLellan of New Durham, New Hampshire; his stepson, Shaun Howard of Branson, Missouri; his sisters, Debbie (Mike) Teeken of St. George, Utah, Cindy (Steve) Lovejoy of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Kimberly (Jim) Thoms of Henderson, Colorado; his brothers, Chris (Julie) Haack of Princeton, Iowa, and Bryant Haack of Bettendorf, Iowa; his stepfather, Franklin Benadom of DeWitt, Iowa; his stepmother, Jan Haack of Bettendorf, Iowa; as well as 10 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
