James “Jim” Leroy King, age 86, of Hollister, Missouri.
James “Jim” Leroy King, age 86, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away on October 15, 2021. He entered this life on January 12, 1935, in Franklin County, Missouri, the son of Fred and Nellie (Boumount) King. Jim is preceded in death by his parents.
Being an excellent mechanic during his working life, Jim continued to fix cars after his retirement as a form of enjoyment. He loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs, playing on computers, solving puzzles, traveling, camping, and fishing. Jim was a wonderful son, significant other, and father; he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by his significant other of thirty-one years, Andrea Haynes of Hollister, Missouri; daughter, Susan of Hollister, Missouri; daughter, Linda of Independence, Missouri; sons: Mark and Steve of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren: Emily, Mark, Shannon, Misty, Lauren, and Brian; and six great-grandchildren.
