James Kirk “Jim” Hampel, age 61, of Aurora, Missouri
James Kirk “Jim” Hampel, age 61, of Aurora, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 near Jenkins, Missouri.
He was born February 23, 1961 in Blue Island, Illinois the son of Paul and Verna (Erick) Hampel, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were one brother, Barry Hampel; one nephew, Wade Hampel and two uncles, Roger Hampel and Kenny Erick.
Surviving are one son, James Hampel of Green Forest, Arkansas; one daughter, Amanda Henderson of Springdale, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Jody Treat of Berryville, Arkansas; one brother, Charles Hampel and his wife Melanie of Joplin, Missouri; one sister, Bernice Keeler of Green Forest, Arkansas; one nephew, Lance Keeler and his wife Terri of Green Forest, Arkansas and ten grandchildren.
Jim graduated from Cassville High School. He was employed by Miracle Recreation Equipment Company in Monett, Missouri as a welder and painter. Before settling in this area, he traveled around the central part of the United States. Jim enjoyed anything outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, hiking, camping and riding his Harley.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
