Douglas Elmer Stephens, age 71, of Harrison, Arkansas

Douglas Elmer Stephens, age 71, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away September 19, 2021, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He entered this life July 24, 1950, in Richmond, Indiana, the son of Elmer and Kathryn (McDermitt) Perry. Preceding him in death are his parents and his wife, Joyce Elaine Stephens.

With a helping heart and an easygoing demeanor, Doug made friends very easily. He built and raced cars as well as helped others work on their cars. Doug was fascinated with remote control cars and R.C. racing. He liked collecting, shooting, and building guns. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Doug is survived by his son, Christopher Stephens of Harrison, Arkansas; two daughters: Chandra (Roger) Shannon of Monticello, Kentucky, and Jennifer (Eddie) Sherwood of Alpena, Arkansas; nine grandchildren: Isaac Stephens, Rosabella Stephens, Emily Stephens, Samantha Stephens, Sophie Stephens, Sara (Tory) Garnagan, Cameron Sherwood, Alex Climber, and Paige Jimmenez; great grandsons: Damian and Bradley; sister, Debbie Torres; and three brothers: Robert Reynolds, David Reynolds, and Michael Reynolds.
