Darelyn Jean Cooper, age 77, of Cassville, Missouri.

Darelyn Jean Cooper, age 77, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville, Missouri.

She was born November 10, 1947 in Tucson, Arizona the daughter of Darrell and Betty (Craig) Burns. On May 15, 1965 in Wheaton, Missouri she was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Cooper, who preceded her in death on September 8, 2024. Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Bobby Cooper and a brother, David Burns.

Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Garland and her husband Joe of Cassville, Missouri; brothers, Craig Burns and his wife Neara of Wheaton, Missouri, Steve Burns and his wife Tanya of Wheaton, Missouri and Gary Burns of Wheaton, Missouri; sister, Diane Prewitt and her husband Larry of Wheaton, Missouri; grandchildren, Brandon Cooper, Ben Cooper, Jody Leonard and Brittany Garland and great grandchildren, Jessica Cooper, Miles Cooper, Sophia Leonard, and Charles Leonard.

Darelyn was a graduate of Wheaton High School later continuing her education at Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. During her career as a CPA, she worked for the cities of Joplin, Springfield, and Cassville from where she retired. She loved camping, boating, and traveling and was a certified scuba diver. After retiring she and Bob enjoyed raising Goldendoodles for a few years. Darelyn was a member of Solid Rock Southern Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 13, 2025 at Solid Rock Southern Baptist Church in Wheaton, Missouri under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Scott Mitchell and Reverend Jerry Francisco will conduct the services. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Friday, June 13, 2025 at Solid Rock Southern Baptist Church in Wheaton.
