Craig Michael Helmick was born July 31, 1967, in Rantoul, Illinois. He grew up in Urbana, IL attending grade school and junior high school there and graduated from Mahomet-Seymour High School in Mahomet, IL. He proudly served in the United States Air Force.
On November 9, 1991, Craig married, Carol Hostetter in Urbana, Illinois. They were married for 30 years. His work history included semi-truck driving and restaurant work. He loved to teach and preach the Word of God. Before his passing he had been accepted into Bible college in Florida.
Craig entered Heaven on February 22, 2022, at the age of 54.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Craig & Nancy Helmick.
Craig is survived by his wife, Carol Helmick and children, Jacob Helmick, Kyle Helmick and Moriah Helmick all of Branson. He also leaves behind three brothers, Joel Helmick (Cindy) of Colona, IL, Kevin Helmick (Amanda) of Tuscola, IL, and Bryndon Helmick (Melissa) of Paducah, KY.
He was loved by his friends and family and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Craig’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were by Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory in Branson.
