The first day of action at the Division Two National Junior College Regional Tournament at North Arkansas College in Harrison saw a pair of upsets and a win for the host team. 

The top seed and host North Arkansas College Pioneers navigated their way to a 84-69 win over UA-Cossatot while the number four seed Southeast Arkansas beat National Park 91-64.

The upsets took place on the other side of the bracket as number two seed ASU Mid-South lost in overtime to SAU Tech 72-70 and number three South Arkansas lost to ASU Newport 58-55. 

Two first round women’s games take place today with UA Cossatot vs. Southeast Arkansas at 3:00 and Shorter vs. South Arkansas at 5:00.
The semi-finals for both tournaments are Friday with the finals on Saturday.
