HARRISON, Ark. — Wonderfull, a free worship event for women, is coming soon to Woodland Church, 1001 Gipson Road in Harrison. The event will take place Friday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m.
Event organizers Amy Peluso and Renae Kirkpatrick appeared on KHOZ’s “Around the Table” on Tuesday to share details. Doors open at 6 p.m., the auditorium opens at 6:30 p.m., and a preshow begins at 6:50 p.m. The event will last about an hour and a half.
Peluso said the evening will include a testimony, worship, skits, Christmas music and more. She added that photo opportunities and treats will be available, and nonperishable food items will be collected.
Kirkpatrick said the women’s event was inspired by training she attended this year through Answers in Genesis, where the organization encouraged attendees to “marvel at God and everything that He has done for the whole year.”
She highlighted the event’s importance by noting that women often carry the responsibility of making Christmas special for their families. The result, she said, is that “one can forget about worship and the reason for the season.”
Peluso agreed, saying that women sometimes just need to pause and reflect on the season’s meaning. Kirkpatrick explained that the event is “a time for women only to reflect on God becoming man and all He has done.”
Peluso added that many men in the church are supporting the effort. Women have prepared for the event, and men will serve that night to help them focus on worship. She said the men will serve Christ by helping the women focus on worship.
The event is open to the community, and women are welcome to bring their daughters. Daughters younger than 9 are also welcome if their mothers think they can sit through the event.
More was discussed on the broadcast. The full interview is on KHOZ's "Around The Table" Facebook page
