A woman from Boone County is arrested for entering a person's home in an attempt to avoid a confrontation with law enforcement.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed by the Boone County Sheriff's Office, 49-year-old Ellen Anne McGehee is facing charges in connection to the January incident where a deputy was called to a business in Alpena where McGehee was hitting the building with a PVC Pipe. McGehee left the scene when the deputy arrived and went to a nearby residence she had been to before and told not to enter, but did anyway and hid in a bedroom before officers eventually were able to place her under arrest. McGehee was changing into clothes owned by the resident of the house when arrested, which led to a residential burglary felony charge as well as four other misdemeanor charges.
Court documents indicate McGehee has past charges in both Boone and Carroll Counties. She was released on a $25,000 Bond with her next court appearance on the current charges scheduled for August.
