The National Weather Service have raised the potential snow totals for the region while also elevated the potential travel impacts for parts of the Lakes Region.
The latest information provided by the National Weather Service indicates the Branson area could be in one of the heavier snow bands, with anywhere from two to six inches of snow anticipated. The Weather Service has also elevated the travel impact to moderate for areas of Highway 65 between Springfield and Branson as well as areas on a line north of a Branson-Kimberling City-Seligman line. Forecasters say travel conditions could get hazardous with possible slick spots and some road closures. Similar conditions could take place in parts of northern Arkansas as some areas in the Ozark Mountains could see up to eight inches of snow.
Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect for both the Branson and Harrison beginning early Monday morning and going through the day.
