A Boil Order for Water Customers in the Parthenon Water Association is issued on Sunday.
According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the order was issued after a break in a water line.
Water in that system may be unsafe for human consumption according to health department officials. Under the boil order, water used for drinking or food preparation should be boiled for one minute prior to use and all ice cubes should be discarded and replaced with cubes made from boiled water.
The boil order will remain in place until water testing is completed to make sure the system is free from bacteria.
