Two more accidents resulting in serious injuries occur in the Lakes Region on Thursday according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The first takes place around 1:45 on Happy Hollow Road in southwest Taney County when a pick-up driven by 23-year-old Joseph Sumerall of Omaha ran off the road and struck some trees.
The second occurs around 3:15 on Highway 265 south of Branson when a car runs off the road and overturns. Both the driver and a passenger, 39-year-old Justin Jenkins of Springfield and 38-year-old Kristina Heisner of Branson, sustained serious injuries.
All three people were taken to Springfield hospitals for treatment.
This brings the total of serious injury accidents in the region to six over the last week in the Missouri Lakes Region along with three accidents in northern Arkansas last weekend that resulted in five fatalities.
