Two Fatality Accidents in Northern Arkansas Saturday

A deadly day on northern Arkansas highways on Saturday with a pair of traffic crashes killing four people.

The Arkansas State Police reports the first crash occurs around 12:30 pm in Eureka Springs when the driver of a motorcycle slowing for a vehicle turning left off of Highway 62 lost control, came off the motorcycle and was hit by another motorcycle. 58-year-old Raymond Kinnunen of Fayetteville died in the crash while 54-year-old Rendell Whitehead of Rogers was taken to Eureka Springs Hospital for treatment of his injuries. 

A man from Green Forest is among three people who died in a crash Saturday night in rural Madison County. The ASP reports says a westbound vehicle was trying to pass another vehicle when it collided with an eastbound vehicle. Those two vehicles overturned while the other vehicle hit an embankment. One person in the eastbound vehicle, 38-year-old Jacob Doss, died in the crash while another, 40-year-old Tiffany Darity of Berryville, was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries. An unidentified minor and a woman from Springdale were also killed in the crash while two men from Rogers were also in injured in the crash. 

There have now been 303 deaths in traffic crashes worked by the Arkansas State Police in 2023.
