Two boil water orders are now in effect for the region.
A boil water order was issued last Thursday for SPG Water Association customers in both Marion and Searcy counties. According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the order is for connections on Baker Ford Road, Able Road and Abstract Road in Marion and Searcy counties due to a main break.
The Arkansas Department of Health issued another order on Friday afternoon for the entire Dillards Ferry Water System in Marion County. The boil order was issued due to a power outage.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded, and only boiled water used for making ice.
