Two area residents die in separate traffic crashes over the last three days.
A man from Searcy County dies in a two-vehicle crash in North Little Rock Sunday. The Arkansas State Police reports the crash happened on Interstate 40 when a Jeep driven by 19-year-old Connor Latham of Leslie swerved to avoid a vehicle stopped in front of him and collided with a semi-truck. Latham died in the crash.
Meanwhile, a crash involving two pick-up trucks in Boone County takes the life of a woman from St. Joe. According to the ASP report, 53-year-old Gianella Edelen died when her pick-up truck crossed the center line of Highway 62 near Sharp Court and collided with the other pick-up.
155 people have died in traffic crashes in Arkansas so far in 2025.
