On Thursday, Newton County Chamber of Commerce Director Toinette Madison said preparations for the Elk Festival are underway.
Madison appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to talk about the festival and more. The Elk Festival occurs in June; this year it will run on June 23 and June 24. She said it will feature a "kid zone" will bouncy houses and other "bells and whistles."
The festival also has a 5k. Madison said the 5k is on Saturday. Runners can run with the elk.
