The Bible Read Aloud at Harrison's Square on April 30; May 1 is the National Day of Prayer

The Bible Reading Marathon is April 30 at The Square in Harrison, according to Chris Brown.

He and Mike Bishop appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday to discuss that event and the prayer day. Brown said it will start at 9 a.m. and run until 5 p.m. Attendees can journey to 10 stations positioned throughout The Square.

Each station has a reader set to read certain portions. Brown explained that all the readers will read at the same time. "So, it's just a matter of getting God's Word spoke out loud on The Square in Harrison, Arkansas. That's something that doesn't happen," he said.

Many different people will read. More readers are needed. Brown even added that people who show up the day of the event and want to read are also welcome to do so.

He said he can be found at the Gazebo on Harrison's Square. Brown also provided his phone number. It's 870-365-7688.

Three children also joined the program. Bishop said they've all read during the marathon before. Anyone wanting food will can get it.

Brown said free lunch is free from about 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. that day. The event Bishop is promoting is the next day.

The National Day of Prayer will be observed on May 1 at 7 a.m. It's set to take place at the convention center in the Quality Inn. A $10 is requested for the breakfast.

The full interview with Brown and Bishop is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
