Take flight to tour the lower and upper Buffalo River.
Burt Ballard and Joe Wilson appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday to discuss Buffalo River Air Tours. The company provides tours of the river via helicopter. Ballard explained that there are four licensed air tour providers in Arkansas, and this company is one of them.
The tours don't go right over the river, but they fly near the park boundaries. The company is pursuing approval to fly over the river.
Ballard enjoyed flying before and would take people for flights. His wife inspired him to go beyond giving free rides. The couple got the process going almost two years ago.
He asks anyone wanting to do take a tour in the coming months to book the tour now. If plans change, a refund will happen. Booking is possible online.
Wilson is retired from the Air Force and helps with Buffalo River Air Tours. The company launched in September. More was discussed during the broadcast.
