A project putting together an Economic Development Plan continues in Stone County.
The Stone County Commission through the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce commissioned the project for 2020 but was delayed a year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Sheila Thomas, President/CEO of the Table Rock Lake Chamber, said during an interview Thursday on Ozarks Now they received over 800 responses to the initial survey which was followed by Public Meetings held in Crane, Kimberling City, and Reeds Spring. Thomas said one of the more interesting suggestions to come out of the meeting was development of complimentary businesses around the Branson West Airport to work with travelers in and out of that facility.
The next step according to Thomas is a meeting with the study facilitators as well as with Stone County Commissioners to move the project forward into next year.
