Steel Magnolias is running at the Lyric Theater.
Lisa Johnson and Jane Harrison appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to talk about it. This show has two different casts.
The first cast, which includes Harrison and Johnson, performs from July 26 through July 28. The second cast performs from Aug. 2 through Aug. 4. Harrison is in both casts.
Johnson has a long history with the Lyric Theater. This is Johnson's seventh time in a production of the show, counting this one.
She has played different roles during her time in the shows. She recalled the show's 1997 run, which was the second show she performed in at the Lyric.
Later, Johnson shared more history of her time performing with other people at the theater. Harrison isn't new to theater, but she's new to the Lyric Theater.
Johnson stars as Ouiser, and Harrison stars as Truvy. Tickets are cheaper online. More was discussed during the broadcast.
