Jim and Jan Sprott spoke with “Around the Table” on KHOZ on Wednesday about their time at the former Dogpatch USA theme park, a property now owned by Johnny Morris.
The couple met at Dogpatch in April 1969. Jan recalled their careers starting off. “I auditioned in Harrison Arkansas at the Goblin gymnasium,” she said. The pair played characters at the park. Jim said every 30 minutes there was a skit. “Sometimes we did skits in other places but mostly it was right on the square,” he said.
After working as friends for some time, they began dating and eventually married. They met in 1969 and married in 1971. They have three children, five grandchildren and just celebrated 50 years of marriage.
