A special audit of the Arkansas State Police in relation to their spending on the security for Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders indicates that expenditures and procedures are within state guidelines.
The audit report released, summarized by both the Associated Press and Arkansas Advocate, did find some underreported expenses due to an outdated formula being used to calculate some expenses, a procedure which has since been corrected.
The audit is part of a law in conjunction with the revised Open Records Act Sanders signed into law restricting public access to some information on travel for the Governor and her family.
