Sammi Cribbs officially takes the position as North Arkansas Regional Medical Center’s CEO on Friday; Cribbs appeared on KHOZ’s “Around The Table” on Thursday.
Cribbs said she did not aspire to be a hospital CEO. “It [has] just been an honor to work and serve this community,” Cribbs said. She has been with the hospital since 2007.
She started her career at NARMC as an as-needed charge nurse. “I have done a lot,” she said.
Cribbs said the pandemic helped people in the medical field learn to “improvise, adapt and overcome.” She said concern about staffing remains, but she said the NARMC workforce also remains “strong” and “dedicated.”
However, Cribbs acknowledged the reality of a decrease in enrollment as well as increases in people exiting the profession. The full interview with Cribbs can be found on the “Around The Table” Facebook Page.
