Carrie Richter returned to manage Central Farmer's and Artisan's Market this year.
Richter appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss the market. It's kicking off on April 19. Richter said the Saturday market is the big focus. The hours will run 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays.
She said the market currently has $45 registration open. The foods in the spotlight are "slow" or "raw" foods. Those foods include: fruits, veggies, cheese, meat, eggs and more. While Richter admitted she doesn't necessarily care or have super strict standards as to what vendors make, there is a guiding principle.
The market needs to offer variety. That includes food, candles and other items. Richter said she wants the market to offer "unique products" or "greenware." That means they are made from scratch or from upcycled materials.
Earlier, Richter explained that her husband would manage the market with her. She said it's a big job.
Additional information about the market is online. More was discussed on the broadcast.
