The Lakes Region will see the first round of Arctic Air filter into the area this week.
The week starts with a chance of rain would could spurn some severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon. Prior to that, strong winds of 30-40 MPH will sweep through region ahead of the frontal system.
Eventually, the front will open the door for a surge of arctic air that by Wednesday, will see high temperatures drop into the upper 40s to around 50 with lows in the upper 20s to around 30.

The recent cool pattern continues through the weekend with rain today, but the Lakes Region is not done with summer like temperatures yet.
