Michelle Reynolds from Theater Company of the Ozarks was a guest on KHOZ’s Around The Table on Monday; Reynolds discussed Pride and Prejudice coming to the theater.
Reynolds wrote the adaption that will be on stage and is director of the show too. Reynolds got involved with the theater in 2010. She got her start auditioning and performing in productions. Reynolds has done various tasks, including set building. “I love Pride and Prejudice,” Reynolds said. She added that she starting researching scripts a few years ago but did not like a lot of them.
“So, I immediately knocked those ones away,” she said. After read over scripts, she started writing her own. Since copyright on the original has expired, Reynolds was able to write her own adaptation. Reynolds highlighted her cast for the show.
The show will run from Sept. 2 to 5. Tickets can be purchased at the theater or online for a cheaper rate. The Sept. 2-4 shows start at 7 p.m. The Sept. 5 show starts at 2 p.m. The full interview with Reynolds is on the Around The Table Facebook Page.
