An area organization will meet on Thursday to select a new leader.
According to an announcement posted by KTLO, the Ozark Mountain Solid Waste District will meet at Harrison City Hall Thursday morning at 11:00. The meeting will take place to select a new chairman to replace the outgoing Mayor of Bull Shoals David Nixon.
No other agenda items are known at this time according to the KTLO post.
The County Judges in Baxter, Boone, Marion, Newton, and Searcy Counties are all a part of the board as are the Mayors from Bull Shoals, Gassville, Harrison, Jasper, Marshall, and Mountain Home. Several of those position highlight new members who just got elected to their offices in last November's election.
