The biggest fundraiser for an area non-profit organization that helps provide dental coverage for young people on Medicaid is a week away.
The 19th annual Hot-Air Balloon Glow event at Finley River Park happens next Friday June 20 .
The event, held in conjunction with the Sertoma Club Duck Races, has for the last 15 years benefitted the Children's Smile Center. Executive Director Jackie Barger, during a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, said the center relies on this and other donations and fundraisers to continue operating their three clinics in Aurora, Branson West, and Ozark that takes care of patients in Barry, Christian, Dade, Lawrence, Stone, and Taney counties.
Barger said the gates for the glow event will be 5:00 with the balloons set to inflate around desk and light up the night sky around the park until around 11:00.
