Operation Christmas Child will host an event during the back-to-school season to prepare for Christmas, according to Courtney Lantis.
Lantis appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Tuesday to promote the event, Back to School with OCC. Operation Christmas Child's Back to School event seeks to equip children with the supplies they need but usually don't have. Lantis said the July 26 "come and go" style event is a team meet and greet. It will run from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at North Arkansas College's JPH conference room. Lantis added that attendees will get to pack an Operation Christmas Child shoebox.
She explained what Operation Christmas Child is. It's a ministry under Samaritan's Purse, and it gathers items that are then packed into shoe boxes. They're Christmas gifts.
But they are just Christmas gifts. Those shoe boxes also come with a presentation of the Gospel of Christ.
Lantis is available to provide more information over the phone regarding program involvement at 573-296-8641. More was discussed on the broadcast. The full interview with Lantis is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
