A man from Oklahoma is dead after a single vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Newton County.
According to the report filed by the Arkansas State Police, 83-year-old Royce Lee Freeman was westbound on Highway 74 near Steele Creek when trying to negotiate a curve, slid into a guardrail and overturned.
This is the 287th person to die in traffic crashes worked by the Arkansas State Police in 2022.
