While temperatures are slightly lower than earlier this week, an even bigger temperature drop is expected early next week.
During an interview earlier this week on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program, National Weather Service Meteorologist Ben Price said the first cool down that now has temperatures in the low to mid 90s will be followed by a major cool down caused by a frontal passage late in the weekend. While little to no precipitation is expected with the front, temperatures will be dropping significantly. The current forecast calls for highs in the mid to upper 70s with lows in the 50s starting Monday.
Price said the cool pattern will continue through the end of the month, but the long rage forecast model predicts temperatures will get back to normal for late summer going into September.
