The Arkansas lottery player who purchased the $250.8 million jackpot-winning Powerball® ticket recently claimed their prize from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL).
The winning ticket was ordered via the Jackpocket mobile app for the March 2 drawing. The winning numbers were 2, 17, 18, 38 and 62, and the Powerball number was 20. The Jackpocket retail location, Winners Corner, is located at 6801 W. 12th St. in Little Rock.
The lucky winner, a Northwest Arkansas resident, opted to receive the prize as a one-time cash payment of $118 million before taxes. The winner selected their own numbers for the ticket and has elected to remain anonymous.
The $250.8 million Powerball jackpot will benefit Arkansans in more ways than one. During this jackpot cycle, Powerball generated $2,351,480 in cash sales, and retailers earned $121,050 in total commissions. Every Arkansas lottery ticket sold also supports education, with net proceeds funding scholarships for students across the state.
“We’ve been extremely fortunate to have not just one, but two huge Powerball jackpot winners in Arkansas within the last few months,” said ASL Executive Director Sharon Strong. “This month’s win further highlights the lottery’s positive impact on the state. From the retailers who sell our tickets to the students who benefit from lottery-funded scholarships, we look forward to supporting even more ‘big wins’ for Arkansans.”
The $250.8 million Powerball jackpot won on March 2 marked the third time the Powerball jackpot has been won in Arkansas. Previous wins include a historic $1.817 billion jackpot won by an Arkansas Lottery player on December 24, 2025, and a $25 million jackpot won on January 2, 2010.
Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The overall odds of winning a prize are in 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
