Northwest Arkansas District Fair Starts Sept. 14

The Northwest Arkansas District Fair starts Sept. 14, according to Allison Black.

Exhibit check-in starts at 1 p.m. that day. Black said that during her Wednesday appearance on KHOZ's "Around The Table" program. She encouraged all who haven't registered to participate to do so online. It will save time. A lot is happening throughout the fair.

Black said Monday will focus on judging. Tuesday kicks off the shows. Those include rabbit, swine and more. She called Wednesday the best day of the fair.

It's senior day. She explained that she loves when the seniors visit. Black said the carnival will also open on Wednesday; it's free that day.

On Thursday, there's a beef cattle and sheep show. The carnival will open on Thursday too, but it's not free.

However, she said anyone wanting to skip paying should arrive around 5:45 p.m. The fair will have something new on Friday.

They'll have go-kart races on Friday at 8 p.m. Additional details and more are in the interview.

The full interview with Black is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
