New Officials Appointed in Diamond City

Last week, Diamond City selected and swore in two new city officials.

Jake Glidewell was selected as the new Mayor while Elizabeth Hensley will take over as Treasurer. The appointments, made at last week’s Diamond City Council Meeting, were to fill positions after the several resignations had taken place earlier in March in which Police Chief Troy Burleson said during a conversation on KHOZ’s “Around the Table” was a “hiccup” which caused several officials to be at odds with others. Eventually, most officials did return with the two appointments filling out other vacancies.

The complete meeting from last week can be found on the Diamond City Facebook Page.
