A water line break that impacted customers of an area water district has been repaired.
According to information released by the Mockingbird Hill Water Association, a discharge line going out of the booster at the South Lead Hill Booster Station blew about on Friday damaging the waterline and the building. The line caused water outages in that area as crews worked to repair the line and the damage to the building.
A follow-up message today indicated that the line has been fixed and water tanks are refilling and that a boil order will not be needed as the water comes back online.
Boil Orders have been issued for other districts supplied by that line in Marion, Newton, and Searcy Counties. According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the orders are for the Leslie, Mount Sherman, and SPG Water Systems as well as for customers at the southwest end of the line for the SDM Water Association in Searcy County. Those water customers should boil water briskly for one minute prior to use.
Mockingbird Hill is one of several water districts and communities that were impacted by the waterline break. Jasper, Marshall, and Valley Springs were among the areas impacted by the outage.
