One last hot day, a round of thunderstorms, and cooler temperatures are all in store for this weekend.
Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings are again in effect for the Lakes Region with Heat Index readings between 105 and 110 possible. A round of showers and thunderstorms are moving through the region this morning with strong to severe thunderstorms possible later today into Sunday morning. Severe thunderstorm chances are greater in the western part of the Lakes Region though some level of strong storms are possible across the entire region.
Storms eventually leave the area by Sunday afternoon and temperatures begin to drop with highs in the upper 80s expected by Monday.
