Just over a week after a couple of minor earthquakes were recorded in the Lakes Region, the United States Geological Survey reports another quake in the same area late Monday night.
According to the USGS, the quake occurred just before 10:00 pm near Bull Shoals Lake in Marion County about nine miles east of South Lead Hill. The center of the 2.5 magnitude quake was just over 20 miles east-northeast of Harrison and around 30 miles east-southeast of Branson.
The USGS says that while most quakes below magnitude 3 can not be felt, some quakes between 2 and 3 can be felt if conditions are right.
Anyone feeling the quake is encouraged to report it on the USGS Website.
