Harrison Mayor Jerry Jackson talked Friday about his reelection campaign.
Jackson appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Friday. He said getting reelected to a second term as Harrison's mayor isn't easy, and he added that it is "not easy being mayor." Jackson nears completion of his first term as mayor. He said one issue he's focusing on during this campaign is what has been accomplished.
The mayor said now that he has the experience, he can ask voters to "look at what we've done, and if you like that, that's what we're going to continue to do," he said. Jackson said Harrison is headed in the "right direction" with all the projects happening.
"Everything we're doing is focusing on quality of life, making things better for the people that live here, and that's what it's really all about with mayor. That's my job" Jackson said. The mayor commented on what he's hearing about the community center.
He said during the one that failed, it was known it would fail. He said everything the people asked for is trying to come to fruition. Jackson discussed all of this and more on the broadcast.
