An investigation is underway in Marion County after a fire on Wednesday and the discovery of a body.
According to the release from Sheriff Gregg Alexander, firefighters from Flippin and several agencies responded to the fire and found a residence fully engulfed. After the fire was extinguished, a body of an unidentified person was discovered. A fire investigator from Mountain Home as well as a Sheriff’s Office investigator conducted interviews and processed the scene.
The body will be taken to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner to identify the body and cause of death.
