Marion County Sheriff's Office Investigates Three Deaths

The Marion County Sheriff's Office responds to three calls of unresponsive individuals in a six-day period in late July.

The three releases from the Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander are below:

1. On 07/24/25, the Marion County Emergency 911 Center (E911) received a call reporting an unresponsive person in a vehicle at the Yellville Post Office. Medical personnel responded and found Wilson Kirk Bressler (48 YOA) of Harrison, on the ground next to his vehicle with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in progress by the caller.

Deputies and Investigators from the Sheriffs' Office responded and processed the scene and conducted interviews. Investigators learned Bressler was a contract mail-route courier and had finished his shift at approximately 3:00P. He contacted his wife before leaving work stating he had gotten extremely hot at work, and it had "zapped" his energy. Family members became worried after not being able to make contact with him, and a family friend decided to drive toward Yellville in case he had vehicle trouble. Bressler was found in the driver seat of his vehicle in the parking lot of the post office with the vehicle running.

The body of the victim was transferred to the Marion County Coroner. Sheriff Alexander states the scene was processed and interviews were conducted, and Investigators believe Bressler died because of natural causes. Next of kin has been notified.

2. On 07/26/25, the Marion County Emergency 911 Center (E911) received a call of an unresponsive person at a residence on Wolf Lane. Deputies and medical personnel responded to the scene and found Cimmaron Marty-Tyronne Biller (57 YOA) of Yellville, deceased on the floor in his bedroom.

Investigators arrived and processed the scene and spoke with the caller, who stated she went to give BILLER his medication at approximately 9:00A and found him unresponsive on the floor. Investigators also learned Biller suffered from extensive medical issues.

The body of the victim was transferred to Kirby Funeral Home.

Sheriff Alexander states the scene was processed and interviews were conducted, and Investigators believe Biller died because of natural causes. Next of kin has been notified.

3. On 07/29/25, the Marion County Emergency 911 (E911) Center received a call of an unresponsive female at a residence on 5th street in Yellville. Deputies and medical personnel arrived on scene and found Kathy Collen Smiley (62 YOA) dead on the floor of a bathroom inside the residence.
