Marion County Offices to Reopen Monday

Marion County Judge John Massey has announced that the county’s offices will reopen to the public on Monday.

The county’s offices had been closed for more than a week due to the area’s surging COVID-19 numbers.

Massey’s announcement, issued Friday afternoon, states that the courthouse and Marion County Library will reopen on Monday. Transfer Station customers will also be allowed to unload their own vehicles beginning Monday.

Marion County District Court will return to its regular schedule starting Monday. For questions about Judge Suzie Layton’s court schedule, contact her trial court administrator at (870) 425-8625. For questions about the court schedules of judges John Putman, Andrew Bailey or Johnnie Copeland, call the Circuit Clerk at (870) 449-6226.
