The replacement of a Sales Tax that would continue to fund Marion County Law Enforcement efforts is going before the voters today.
According to a recap by KTLO, the current one half-of-one percent Sales Tax that was passed in 2016 to help fund the building of the Marion County Law Enforcement Center expires next March. Officials are hoping to put a new tax in its place to continue to help the department with their needs going forward.
Early voting wrapped up on Monday with today being the official Election Day with polls open throughout the county until 7:30 this evening.
More details on the issue including a KTLO Interview with Marion County Judge Jason Stumph can be found on the KTLO Website.
