A man already on probation for previous domestic disturbance charges is now facing charges in another incident.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed by the Boone County Sheriff's Office, 21-year-old Christopher Waits is facing a Class D Felony for 3rd Degree Domestic Battery in connection with an incident where he is alleged to have struck a woman causing her to bleed. The incident occurred on February 14 and was broken up by deputies that had been called to the scene by the victim.
Waits had previous charges of causing a domestic disturbance against the same victim in March of 2024 and admitted that she had lied to the judge in November when Waits was alleged to have hit and held a gun to her head.
Waits is currently listed as an inmate in the Boone County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
