A Boone County man facing charges in an incident where he allegedly assault his girlfriend.
According to court documents, 39-year-old Donald Dean of Harrison, is facing two felonies and one misdemeanor charge for incidents on June 16 and 17. The victim told deputies that they got into an argument in the yard at her residence in Harrison which lead to Dean grabbed her leading to her to punching him. The victim then went inside to try and call authorities when Dean knocked her down and took her phone away.
Later in the day when the two were traveling on Highway 65, another argument took place with Dean at one time jerking the wheel while the victim was driving and nearly hit a semi truck. The victim then tried to drive to the nearby Boone County Sheriff's Office but Dean prevented her from doing so.
The following day, the victim was going to a friend's house to have pictures taken of her bruises and later contacted authorities.
Dean was arrested and later released on a $7,500 Bond with a date pending for his next appearance in court.
