The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an incident involving a student in possession of a firearm on the Yellville-Summit High School campus.
Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander released a statement advising deputies responded to the campus after a firearm was recovered by the School Resource Officer.
Sheriff Alexander states the incident is currently under investigation and deputies are working with both Juvenile Services and the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
A juvenile male has been taken into custody without incident and transferred to the custody of juvenile services.
