
Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge recently hosted the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Awards with the honorees including a Harrison Police Officer.
According to a release from the AG’s Office, Harrison Police Department Detective Corporal Ted Schaeffer was named as one of the Regional Officers of the Year for his work saving a minor from a child predator. Another area Regional Winner was Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Wildlife Officer Jake Stanford who was recognized for his work saving a child from swift current in the Buffalo River.
The ceremony also honored the County Officers of the Year. In the region beside Ted Schaeffer in Boone County, the other honorees included:
